Regular prescription glasses vs. computer eye glasses

A study out of the University of California, Berkeley recently stated that more than 70% of computer users need computer eye glasses and even 30% of children would benefit from some form of computer eye-wear to protect then from over exposure to CVS.

As we get older our eyes also age and this process is called presbyopia; we experience problems with the muscles that control accommodation, quickly switching focus from distances near and far and differentiating between clear, well-defined words such as print and pixelized images on the screen.

Today, most people do use prescription eye-glasses atleast some of the time as a result of sight deterioration due to aging. Many people over forty experience blurred vision at the computer and need computer eye glasses, because the monitor falls into the intermediate zone of vision, which most people don't use much.
